Donating blood can improve your own health
While donating blood every three months a donor gets a minimal health checkup free of cost

Weight : 45Kg and above
Age : 18-65 Years
Hb level: 12.5gm/dcl and above
Frequency: Every 3 months

Male: Once in 3months
Female: once in 4months
Single donor platelet: One can donate every 3rd day, twice monthly and not more than 24 times in a year (only Males)

Get good sleep the night before you plan to donate
Drink plenty of water before donating
Wear shirt with sleeves that can be rolled up

Don't donate if you have low BP
Don't donate if you have been tested positive HIV, Hepatitis B & C.
Don't donate if you are under the influence of alcohol
If you are under any medication, consult doctor before donating blood

Hydrate drink plenty of water / juices
Call us if you feel sick; sit down if you feel dizzy
Rest and replenish. lie and keep your legs raised

Don't drink alcohol for 24 hours
Don't take off your bandages for a few hours
Don't perform heavy lifting or vigorous exercise for 24 hours

Uyirthuli gives blood and blood components to patients in any G.H at free of testing charges on providing Request letter from the concerned doctor and blood sample of the patients.

Voluntary Donors will receive a discount on testing charges against each unit donated previously for friends and family when they need them with in the year of each donation.
